Ⅰ. Future Prospects:
For the application prospects of 5G technology, let us first review the history of communication. In the 1G era,we realized the mobile communication between people. Then, in the 2G era, we realized the functions of SMS, digital voice and mobile internet access. The 3G era brought along an image based mobile internet cycle, while the 4G era has promoted the development of mobile videos. The future 5G network will be a distributed platform under the "great connection era". This unified connectivity architecture will provide higher speeds, bring latency down to milliseconds, and higher energy efficiency, to provide the most optimum support for the era of connectivity.
The 5G network provides three typical application scenarios, Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Massive Machine Type of Communication (mMTC) and Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications (uRLLC). Compared with the 4G network, eMBB improves the transmission rate by 10 to 100 times, to greatly enhance user experience, while mMTC and uRLLC are new scenarios for the industry. In the context of the Internet of Everything, machine communication, large-scale communication, and mission-critical communication have higher network requirements for speed, stability and delay. The existing wireless network performance cannot meet these requirements, which is bound to promote the rapid development and maturity of 5G.

II. 5G Typical Application Scenarios:
 1. Cloud VR/AR - Real-time Computer Image Rendering
VR/AR services have huge demand for bandwidth, and high-quality VR/AR content processing will go to the cloud. In order to meet the increasing experience requirements of users, VR/AR will become the most promising heavy traffic service for mobile networks.
 2. Car Networking - Remote Driving, Formation Driving and Automatic Driving
The traditional automotive market will change, and the key technologies driving the automotive revolution will require secure, reliable, low-latency and high-bandwidth connections. Only 5G technology can meet these stringent requirements.
 3. Intelligent Manufacturing - Wireless Robot Cloud Control
In the traditional modes, manufacturers rely on wired technology to connect applications. For future smart manufacturing, flexible, mobile applications, high bandwidth, low latency and ultra reliable low latency communications (uRLLC) are basic requirements.
 4. Intelligent Energy - Feeder Automation
Feeder automation (FA) systems are particularly important for the integration of renewable energy into the energy grid. The advantages are reduced operating costs and improved reliability. Automation systems require ultra-low latency communication network support.
 5. Wireless Healthcare- Remote Diagnosis with Feedback
The use of mobile internet in medical devices is increasing, and monitoring devises such as remote diagnosis and remote medical monitoring integrated with portable devices are beginning to be adopted.
 6. Networked Drones- Professional Inspection and Security
Efficiency and security can be quickly achieved by deploying drone platforms. The 5G network helps them improve automation, and enable analysis solutions.

It is foreseeable that the future potential of 5G is not limited to these. Over time, there will be more application scenarios, and how we can apply 5G technology to more Internet of Things, is perhaps really worthy of our attention.
