IoT Connectivity Advancement: LTE Cat.1bis with SIM7672X

LTE Cat.1bis, as defined in 3GPP Release 13, marks a significant leap forward in communication standards by merging the strengths of traditional LTE Cat.1 and cellular LPWA Cat-M technologies. The module supports the power-saving mode (PSM) feature of 3GPP Rel14, enabling power consumption to plummet to as low as 3uA in PSM mode. Furthermore, the SIM7672X series offers compatibility with multiple built-in network protocols and drivers for three main operating systems (Windows, Linux, and Android). Its software functions and AT commands align with those of the SIM800 series modules. Additionally, the SIM7672X series integrates various industrial standard interfaces, including UART, USB, I2C, and GPIO, enhancing its versatility and expansibility. This makes it an ideal choice for various IoT applications such as telematics, metering, surveillance devices, industrial routers, and remote diagnostics.
