On Nov. 30, 2018, SIMCom’s SIM7000A MR officially obtained certification from the American mainstream operator AT&T, which signifies that SIM7000A MR can be connected to the AT&T network for communication.
The year 2018 has been a year of rapid development for NB-IoT that swept the world and became the physical network communication technology as important as eMTC. It can be widely used for smart metering, smart home, smart city, smart agriculture and husbandry, and other NB fields. After acquisition of AT&T certification, SIMCom is able to provide better service for American customers.
SIM7000A MR, the LTE CAT M1 (eMTC) and NB-IoT module developed based on Qualcomm MDM9206 platform, supports various frequency bands of LTE-TDD, LTE-FDD, GSM, GPRS, and EDGE with peak uplink data traffic up to 375kbps and peak downlink data traffic up to 300kbps. It also adopts SMT packaging with stable performance, small size, high performance cost ratio, and extremely low power consumption, which can satisfy customer’s various requirements. SIM7000A provides great convenience for customers with it’s a wide range of interfaces, of which the hardware interfaces include UART, USB2.0, and PCM, etc., and software interfaces include TCP, HTTP, HTTPS, and SMS, etc.
