Smart Dustbin Version 2.0—SIMCom Module Makes Garbage Disposal More Efficient and Safer During the Epidemic

The war against COVID-19 has entered a decisive stage. All kinds of prevention and control work need to be further implemented. Used masks can carry large amounts of microbes, such as viruses and oral bacteria, etc. These microbes may not only come from the outside environment and stick to the outside surface of the mask when the wearer inhales. They also may be bacteria and viruses carried by the wearer and stick to the inside surface of the mask when the wearer exhales. It’s understood that COVID-19 can survive for hours in the environment outside the human body. If the temperature and humidity fit, they probably can survive for days. Normally, used masks go into the dustbin. But if not dealt with promptly, discarded masks may spread viruses and bacteria when they are squeezed. In addition, some evil people may collect discarded masks and sell them for the second time, causing the spread of diseases.  As a result, Sunsea AIoT launched the innovative smart sterilizing dustbin Version 2.0. This dustbin carries SIMCom sim7020c module. It can count the number of throws and the quantity of garbage intelligently; remotely monitor the volume of garbage inside the dustbin in real time and timely report the data to relevant departments, effectively improving work efficiency and operation state. When a user approaches, the dustbin’s cover will open automatically, so the user can throw garbage without touching the dustbin, thereby avoiding contact infection. In addition, this smart dustbin also has ultraviolet disinfecting lamps, coupled with ozone disinfection. Ozone gas can disinfect the corners that ultraviolet disinfecting lamps cannot reach, providing double assurance. The combination of high-intensity ultraviolet ray and ozone real-time disinfection can prevent the virus from spreading to the surrounding environment and causing human infection, prevent cleaners from coming into contact with contaminated waste and causing infection, reduce the workload of cleaners and improve the protective effect.

 

 

SIMCom SIM7020c is a multiband NB-IoT wireless communication module that adopts 42 PIN LCC package, equipped with various hardware interfaces. Compared with GSM, NB-IoT features a high gain setting and wide signal coverage. It can transmit data in bad conditions, such as basements. As a result, in a special environment, such as in a dustbin, it still can ensure real-time transmission of data, thereby helping the dustbin realize such functions as real-time UV + ozone disinfection, automatic cover, overflow warning, dustbin motion warning, high temperature warning, cleaning timeliness warning, throw count, volume measurement, transport route planning, etc.
